Yes and no. We have to be very careful with the Texas laws. If insurance is involved and they have included a roof replacement as part of their estimate, we are obligated to do the work for the same price, in order to be in full compliance with H.B. 2102 (2019), also known as the “deductible law.”
However, if a roof replacement, roof repair, or other work is outside of an insurance claim, we are able to provide our own estimate based on our agreed scope of work.
Yes. The Texas law that was enacted in September 2019 called H.B. 2102, is very clear that contractors AND homeowners break the law if the chosen contractor is found to cover, absorb, pay for, discount, or not fully receive payment for the deductible. Thus, in most cases, the homeowners’ out-of-pocket is exactly equal to their deductible. We recommend strongly that a homeowner chooses, at the maximum, a 1% deductible. To assist with the out-of-pocket, we provide financing and try to make one upgrade (i.e. shingle upgrade, gutter upgrade, etc.)

Quick response time to my inquiry. Matt worked around my schedule to come out and evaluate my roof. Matt, Jesse, and the entire OneSource Roofing team were nothing short of amazing. They showed up on time and worked very efficiently, finishing our roof replacement quicker than we expected. Matt helped not only with roof replacement but also with coordinating related few repairs around the property that were damaged by the weather.
The crew was prompt, and Matt/Cesar kept me duly informed at each step of the roof replacement work. He also helped me with a list of few homes in the area that had the roof colors I was interested in so I could visualize the color choice better.
